Hey fellow humans! My name is Areeba and I'm your friendly neighborhood therapist. Life is hard. Finding a sense of peace and a foundation to stay grounded in when it feels like everything is out of control is hard. I'm here to help make it easier. I'm here to help you "weather the storm", "navigate the rough seas", or whatever cheesy life metaphor you want to use. The point is, I can help detangle the jumble of thoughts and feelings in your head, help you see who you are and what you believe in a little more clearly, and help you anchor yourself in a foundation that makes navigating life a little easier.

If you want to talk clinical terms, the bulk of my career has been working with folks who have struggled with sexual assault, domestic violence, and eating disorders. If I were to highlight the common factor here- its trauma. Being a trauma informed practitioner is simultaneously intuitive and intentional for me. I often use a combination of CBT, DBT and ACT

As a Pakistani Muslim American who has sought therapy for her own life, I understand that conventional therapy theories and approaches don't work for everyone. I use my multi cultural lens, natural creativity, and trauma informed background to tailor the "textbook" approaches to meet you where you are.

I'm incredibly warm and compassionate. I can help you feel seen and heard. You'll leave my sessions feeling lighter and with a bit more clarity and direction. I always try to give a couple tangible steps that one can take at the end of the session to work on until our next one.
