Great to meet you!

I'm Aregnaz, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and judgement-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Therapy is, at its heart, a place to slow down, make sense of what you have been carrying, and begin to see yourself and your experiences from a different perspective.

I am a therapist who helps individuals better understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may leave them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely understood. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that is warm, collaborative, honest, and grounded in respect—one where you can be yourself, explore what is difficult, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

I have always been interested in perspective—the way the same moment can look completely different depending on where you stand, what you notice, and what you allow yourself to see. Photography has reinforced that perspective for me. A photograph can capture something obvious at first glance, but looking more closely often reveals depth, context, details, and a story that was not immediately visible.

I believe people are much the same. There is often more beneath the surface of what we see or experience. Anxiety, anger, sadness, avoidance, or feeling stuck may be connected to experiences, beliefs, relationships, or patterns that deserve a closer look. Therapy provides an opportunity to step back, explore those different perspectives, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

My role is not to tell you what you should see. Rather, I want to help you explore the picture from different angles, understand what has shaped it, and decide what you would like to change moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I integrate these approaches thoughtfully rather than relying on a single method, allowing our work to reflect your individual needs, goals, and circumstances.

Person-Centered & Collaborative

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of effective therapy. I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Your experiences matter, and your voice should have a meaningful place in determining the direction of our work.

Strengths-Based

Therapy is not only about identifying what is difficult. It is also about recognizing what has helped you get this far. I believe people often carry strengths, resilience, and wisdom that can become difficult to see during challenging seasons of life. Together, we can identify those strengths and find ways to build upon them.

Solution-Focused

Understanding where our struggles come from can be important, but I also believe therapy should help you determine what can change from here. We can identify realistic, manageable steps toward the life you want to build and focus on progress that feels meaningful and attainable.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT provides a practical framework for understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we can identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, responding, and making decisions.

My approach is compassionate and supportive while also remaining practical and clinically focused.

Sometimes the most important thing we can offer another person is a space where they do not have to navigate everything alone.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can take a breath, set down some of what you have been carrying, and begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that have shaped you, look at situations from different perspectives, identify the strengths you already possess, and develop practical strategies for navigating what comes next.

Sometimes growth comes from changing what we do. Sometimes it comes from changing how we understand what has happened to us. And sometimes, like photography, it comes from stepping back, adjusting the focus, and seeing something from an angle we had not considered before.

I will not tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. Instead, I will work alongside you to help you better understand yourself, clarify what matters to you, and make meaningful changes that align with the life you want to live.

Therapy does not require having everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes, simply recognizing that something needs to change is enough of a place to start.
