Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. Since 2015, I have helped young people navigate challenges including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, emotional regulation, and life transitions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe therapy is most effective when children and teens feel safe, understood, and supported while learning practical skills they can use outside of sessions. I also work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to help create lasting change both at home and in everyday life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client's individual needs, incorporating evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. I work closely with children, adolescents, and their families to help build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will focus on getting to know your child, understanding their current concerns, and learning more about their strengths, experiences, and goals for therapy. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where clients can begin building trust and feel safe sharing at their own pace. We will discuss what brings them to therapy, identify areas for growth, and begin developing a plan that is individualized to their needs. For children and teens, the first session may include conversation, activities, or age-appropriate approaches to help them feel more comfortable and engaged in the process.
