Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Aria! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Long Beach, CA. I am a Queer and Neurodivergent therapist who has been working in the field of mental health for the past 8 years. Most of my experience includes working with early childhood, adolescents/teens, and adults ranging from 18-70 years old. I have worked in community mental health, school-based, and private practice settings. I also previously worked as a preschool teacher and Early Interventionist serving the Autism and Special Needs populations. In addition, I am also Kink/Sex-Positive and LGBTQ+ Allied as I am proud to serve my fellow Queer community. I look forward to working together and connecting with you!

My approach to therapy

I believe a trusting therapeutic relationship is the most successful way of helping clients make changes in their lives. My ultimate goal is to help you feel safe by allowing you to be your authentic self in the therapy room. In addition, my approach to therapy is uniquely tailored depending on the needs of each individual client, as I believe all humans are different and there is no "one size fits all" therapeutic approach. However, I most frequently use therapeutic modalities such as Humanistic/Rogerian, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from our first session is me asking questions to learn more about you and talking about your goals for treatment. I am very interested in learning about your unique story and what brought you to therapy, as well as how you are currently feeling. The main purpose of our first session together is to establish trust and rapport and gather information about your life. Learning about you and building a trusting therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy! I feel that until trust is established, only then can the real therapy work begin.
