Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (English/Español) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#145875) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and family systems who are experiencing life stressors, the aftermath of trauma, or early childhood (0-5 years of age) social/emotional/behavioral challenges. I have extensive experience in the treatment of trauma including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and PTSD. In addition, I specialize in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for children and families.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in evidence-informed approaches to treatment including interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, developmental psychology, and play therapy. I believe that healing unfolds through relationships grounded in safety, trust, co-regulation, and attunement. My work is rooted in attachment-based, trauma-informed care, supporting children, individuals, and families as they cultivate secure connections and empowerment.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will begin by exploring the life experiences that have led you to seek out therapy. We will discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and explore expectations, needs, and wants you may have about therapy. From there, we will work collaboratively to develop meaningful treatment goals so I can best support you. I believe relationships can be a source of healing and strive to create a relationship with my clients where they feel safe, valued, and empowered. Learn more here: https://www.arianariveralmft.com
