I am a board-certified nurse practitioner with a doctorate in psychiatric nursing and specialist training in neurodevelopmental psychiatry and transgender health. I am also a breathwork facilitator, a NADA acudetox practitioner, and a student of herbal medicine.
My approach to care is affirmative, growth-oriented, and grounded in consent, emerging from a position of curiosity and non-judgement. I am firmly anti-fascist, anti-carceral, and anti-capitalist, and believe that all healing work is in the service of collective liberation. In addition to diagnostic evaluation and medication management, I offer mental health letters for gender affirming surgery, specialist referrals, and integrative care options.
Intake sessions last ~1hr and consist of a conversation about current support needs and past treatment experiences. Generally I will not offer a diagnosis or prescribe new medication in an intake session, however, I can usually refill medications that you have already been prescribed. I can also offer my initial impression re: what level of treatment might be best for you at this time. If it's clear that we're not the right fit, I am happy to offer referrals.
