Great to meet you!

Hey there! My name is Ariel K. Brooks, LCSW and I am a clinical social worker and therapist based in Louisville, Ky. I hold master's degrees in both Social Work and Pan-African Studies, as well as a bachelor's degree in American Sign Language Interpreting.

Though I enjoy working with all ages, backgrounds, and presenting issues, I specialize in working with the unique concerns of the LGBTQ+ community and members of the global majority (aka "people of color"). I also have a rescue therapy dog that joins me for in-person sessions!

My approach to therapy

I believe that every client is an individual living within a larger system that impacts their well-being, and that change must happen on multiple levels to truly improve someone's quality of life. I believe that improving a client's confidence and sense of safety is a crucial part of the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

My goals for all of my clients are an increased awareness and management of moods and emotions, improved trust in self, and a greater sense of identity. I want to help you develop your ideal self in this unpredictable world.
