Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults. I believe mental health treatment should be collaborative, individualized, and centered around each person’s unique experiences and goals.

Before transitioning into psychiatry, I spent more than 15 years working as a registered nurse in intensive care units (ICUs). My background in critical care taught me how to remain calm, attentive, and supportive during some of life’s most difficult moments. That experience continues to shape the way I care for patients today—with empathy, respect, and a strong focus on the whole person.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University and an associate degree in Nursing from Miami Dade College.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders. My goal is to help patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered, holistic, and collaborative. I understand that mental health is influenced by many factors, including physical health, life experiences, relationships, stress, and environment. I work closely with each client to develop a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.

I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive psychotherapy, education, and practical coping strategies. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their concerns and feel genuinely supported.

I value open communication and shared decision-making, and I strive to ensure clients feel informed and involved in their treatment every step of the way. Whether someone is seeking help for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or treatment-resistant symptoms, my focus is on helping them build stability, resilience, and long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly. During the first session, we will review mental health history, current symptoms, stressors, past treatments, and personal goals to better understand the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, and additional treatment options when appropriate. My goal is for clients to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps in their care.
