Ariel Krakowsky

Hello and welcome! My name is Ari (she/her), and I am so happy you're here! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist based in Los Angeles, CA. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University and my Master of Science in Sports Psychology from Pennsylvania Western University.

As a proud UCLA Bruin and the first-ever walk-on to the UCLA Women's soccer team, I specialize in working with youth and young adult athletes. My focus areas include trauma, performance anxiety, injury and recovery, and stress management.

As a former competitive athlete, UCLA women's soccer walk-on, and National Champion, my goal is to meet the growing mental health needs of youth and young adult athletes through the provision of targeted mental health support. Trust and connection are the most important aspects of the therapeutic process, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for my clients.

The pressure to perform and perform with consistency in the athletic space is often one that goes undiscussed. My hope as a therapist is that I can be a support to young athletes as they navigate the joys and challenges of their sport.

During our first session together, you will be welcomed with kindness and care! We will spend time co-creating a space where you feel comfortable engaging in conversation about your goals and areas of growth. You will be met with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.
