Hello, my name is Ariel Susman. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I've worked in community mental health as a therapist and supervisor since 2018 and have been supporting my private practice clients since 2022. I received my Masters in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and my clinical background has prepared me to assist individuals with a range of challenges.
My approach to therapy is very client-centered and trauma-informed. I utilize my knowledge and expertise in counseling while acknowledging that each person is an expert in themselves. My clients are the drivers of their treatment and I am the navigator helping them achieve their goals.
I offer support and guidance during sessions with my clients while providing that gentle push to succeed beyond their barriers. I often tell my clients that we will "tip toe into trauma" and I will be with them along their personal growth journey.
