Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Ariel Swannick, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I got into social work after going through my own childhood traumas, grief, depression and anxieties. I understand the anger and frustration, the fear of facing your past, and the uncertainty of moving forward. I have worked in the mental health system since 2011, and believe in client-centered therapy. I am here for you and to make the process as easy as possible.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am client centered. I believe therapy is your space to heal, vent, and learn. We go at your pace. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), which uses Bi-lateral stimulus such as eye movement to help your brain reprocess disturbing memories/trauma.

What you can expect from our first session

During our first session we complete a bio-psychosocial a brief history of your life and concerns that bring you to therapy.

The follow session you will be provided tools to help you regulate your emotions, and using BLS process and heal through your trauma.
