My name is Ariela Aaron. I completed a Bachelor of Science from Southern University A&M with an emphasis in psychology and a minor in French in 1997. After graduation I moved back to Israel and lived there from 1997 to 2001. During this period, I reconnected to my roots studied Jewish History, Hebrew Language, and English as a Second Language Instruction. My lifelong passion has been helping others in crisis situations, relating to people on their level by showing them they have options, and the world is a small village that we are all connected to each other. Teaching and volunteering in my native country gave me life experience but my passion was counseling. In 2002, I was officially accepted to the University of Alabama where I completed fellowships at the counseling lab and was exposed to different therapies such as Play therapy. While In 2003, I completed a master’s degree in Rehabilitation counseling from the University of Alabama. Then, in 2005, I completed an Education Specialist Degree in Counselor Education with a specialty of family marriage and community counseling from the University of Alabama. For the past fourteen years or more I have been serving adults and children with mental health and substance abuse issues. Some of the areas that I have addressed in the past are: Domestic Violence, Play Therapy with Young Children, Adults (both genders), and Adolescence. Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anger and Stress Management, and Suicidal or homicidal ideation.
