Great to meet you!

Hello, I am so glad you are here. My name is Arlene, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in practice as a licensed professional for approximately 6 years, and in the field since 2014 upon graduating from Pepperdine University with my Masters in Clinical Psychology. I specialize in working with adults, women's issues, maternal mental health, anxiety and trauma.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, we work collaboratively to focus on slowing your nervous system down, rebuilding trust in yourself and learning how to meet your emotions without being overwhelmed by them. I utilize an integrative approach that blend relational styles to understand your point of view, and is both affirming and strengths-based. I am also trained in EMDR and am proficient in treating trauma with this specialized treatment method.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm approach, to feel seen and heard, and a gentle curiosity. I take time to understand you, your background and your therapy goals. My hope is you would leave the first session feeling hopeful, supported and ready for change.
