Great to meet you!

I am of Caribbean heritage, and my academic journey—particularly my graduate research on separation and attachment—sparked a deep interest in the psychological impact of early maternal separation within Caribbean communities. My dissertation explored how early maternal separation influences adult functioning in individuals from this cultural background.

Through this work, I’ve come to recognize that maternal separation is a cross-cultural experience that can lead to psychological challenges. However, I also believe that there are meaningful protective factors and coping mechanisms that can foster resilience and emotional well-being.

In my practice, I offer a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can explore and resolve psychological conflicts. I integrate emotional and cognitive strategies within a humanistic framework to promote healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

Humanistic approach integrating cognitive, emotional and behavioral strategies to resolve negative self-issues and live a valued life.
