Hi there, my name is Arlene Guzman and I am a Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20+ years of experience addressing the intersection of trauma, family dynamics and mental health. My expertise includes working with attachment disruption, PTSD and developmental trauma.

I have over twenty five years experience working in the adoption field with families that have experienced family attachment and abandonment issues, as well as an enhancing child-parent relationships.

I specialize in evidence-based trauma treatment for children, adolescents, and women. With extensive experience supporting families navigating crisis, utilizing cognitive behavioral and strength based systematic approach to healing. Dedicated to serving the Latina community. I provide culturally responsive care, addressing the intersection of trauma, family dynamics and mental health. My expertise includes working with attachment disruption, PTSD and developmental trauma. I am committed to social justice ensuring a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming environment for all clients.

During the first session, I may need to ask the client what kinds of needs or issue they would like to address in their treatment as well as what they have done to manage their mental health. They will want to talk through what worked and what didn't to get an understanding of how best to help them.
