Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Arlene Moeller. I first started out as a teacher but after my first experience in therapy after experiencing a personal trauma I decided to change my career to become a licensed therapist. Inbetween I also worked as a CPS social worker for more than 16 years. In my retirement I am a volunteer therapist for a nonprofit that I founded in 2016, Counseling Ministry of Charles de Foucauld, Inc. CMCDF offers counseling/therapy to the low income and those who are on probation or parole.

My approach to therapy

I like to combine client-centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I typically check-in with my clients as to how their week went. Urgent matters are given top priority. Otherwise we work on the treatment goal(s) using CBT-based activities and/or psychoeducation.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I will be asking a lot of questions so that I have a good understanding as to why you are seeking therapy, I will also be gathering a lot of different kinds of information, which will enable me to formulate a Treatment Plan. At the beginning of the second session we will review the Treatment Plan together and decide if it is appropriate.
