Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I strive to create a safe and authentic environment where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges.

I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from Adelphi University and later completed my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at NYU, where I received my clinical training as a counselor. My professional experience has focused on supporting adults and families navigating relationship concerns, family dynamics, substance use, and behavioral addictions, including gambling.

My therapeutic approach is tailored to each client’s unique goals and experiences. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and relational therapy to support self-awareness, emotional growth, healthier coping strategies, and meaningful change. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to identify strengths, overcome challenges, and build a path forward.

In addition to individual therapy, I provide couples and family therapy, with a focus on improving communication, strengthening relationships, and understanding the patterns that impact connection. I also have specialized experience supporting individuals and families affected by substance use and gambling concerns, including helping loved ones navigate the challenges that addiction can bring to relationships.

Services are available in both English and Spanish. I welcome the opportunity to work together in creating a space where you feel supported, valued, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe each client is the expert on their own life, and I work alongside them to identify strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve meaningful goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and relational therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs and experiences.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, strengths, and goals for treatment. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process so you know what to expect. Together, we'll begin creating a plan that feels supportive, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.
