Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing what’s on your mind. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Ohio with 9 years of experience working with adults, teenagers, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family and relationship conflict, and the kind of emotional exhaustion that comes from carrying too much for too long. If you're a Black woman, a woman of color, or anyone who's learned to hold it together while quietly falling apart inside, I see you, and this space was built with you in mind. My hope is that you’ll leave sessions feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with the skills and insight needed to create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as my core frameworks, but I layer them with a holistic, whole-person lens - meaning I pay attention to how your body, your relationships, your cultural background, and your personal history all connect to how you're feeling right now. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Some clients come to me wanting tools and structure; others need space to process and be heard first. I'm comfortable adapting to wherever you are. What stays consistent is warmth, honesty, and a genuine investment in your progress - at a pace that feels sustainable for you, not one driven by a checklist. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, explore new perspectives, and create practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to gain from counseling. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing a plan that feels right for you.
