Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology. As part of my doctoral dissertation. I conducted landmark research in career development. Originally from Long Island, I have lived in Pennsylvania for decades. As a college vice president, I oversaw the counseling center. I was also a member of the psychology department and taught Psychological Testing and other courses.

My approach to therapy

I am a proponent of REBT which stands for Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Fundamentally, the view is we all face Adversity from time-to-time and have an ongoing explanatory style, or self-talk. We can listen to self-talk together and identify and review any irrational Beliefs. These Beliefs can shape Consequences. These are known as the ABC, or Adversity, Beliefs, and Consequences.

What you can expect from me

At our initial session, we will identify goals for counseling and then work as partners to reach them.
