Great to meet you!

I am an attentive listener, with a friendly style. I enjoy getting to know my patients, from whom I learn a lot, while tailoring the work to your needs and goals, including integrating sound research, wisdom, and much experience.

I often bring a sense of humor to the work, while providing active listening, fostering reflections, and useful psychological insights.

My background includes approaches that are cognitive, apply problem-solving solving in some instances, and additional interpersonal approaches which are tailored towards bringing about change and the mastery of your varied problems. Our work together will be collaborative and I welcome your reactions, opinions, and personal insights, viewing you as an active participant in the relational process of therapy.

My approach to therapy

The relationship with my patients is vital to the work, with trust being built in line with a patient’s individual needs, difficulties, personalities, goals, and strengths. I take a strong interest in your intrinsic abilities, fostering introspection, knowing that many longstanding problems can be understood and overcome. Feedback and immediate reactions during therapy, in my view, are vital and helpful to the therapy process.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to be friendly, taking an interest in you as an individual, asking questions, listening, and letting you know that I am thinking about your life and experiences, rather than being viewed as a "diagnosis." You will feel that I take you seriously and genuinely want to be of help.

Therapeutic goals are based upon each individual’s life experiences, personality, family of origin relationships and experiences, traumas, and the nature and depth of those related problems. My intentions are to help you overcome a range of possible psychological and relationship problems, career challenges, to feel less guilty, shamed, or self-blaming, and for you to be more bold in realizing you life ambitions.
