Great to meet you!

Taking the first step to seek help for anxiety and depression is incredibly brave. As a Mexican-American, Spanish-speaking therapist, I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate these challenges. I understand the profound impact that culture has on our identity and experiences, and I'm passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space for you. My approach is built on compassion and deep respect for your unique story and cultural background. We'll work together, at your own pace, to process your experiences, helping you find your voice and reclaim your well-being. You don't have to carry this burden alone—I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a culturally sensitive framework, understanding that your background and identity are central to your experiences. I integrate both psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapies to help you explore and heal from past experiences. Through a psychodynamic lens, we'll gently uncover how past events and relationships may influence your present thoughts and behaviors. This helps us understand recurring patterns and unconscious motivations that may contribute to your mental health. Simultaneously, my trauma-informed approach ensures that we work at your pace, creating a safe and predictable space where you can process your story without feeling overwhelmed. Together, we'll honor your unique cultural context while building tools to reclaim your well-being.

What you can expect from me

A first session with me is a collaborative and compassionate space where we start building the foundation for our work together. We'll begin by getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. You can expect a conversation that is both gentle and focused, where you can share your story at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I'll be listening not just to your words, but also to the feelings and experiences behind them. As a culturally-sensitive, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapist, I'll be focused on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and confident that we can work together effectively on your journey toward healing and well-being.
