Great to meet you!

With compassion and dedication to whole-person care, Aruna provide thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric services tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with additional certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and her primary focus is the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions across the lifespan. Aruna specialize in managing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric concerns through evidence-based medication management combined with supportive care and psychoeducation. Her dual training allows me to recognize the important connection between physical and mental health, ensuring treatment plans consider the full clinical picture. She strives to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care, and she is committed to fostering long-term stability, resilience, and overall well-being through collaborative and individualized treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I begin with a thorough evaluation to understand each client’s unique concerns and goals, then develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy. My style is warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on clear communication and shared decision-making so clients feel informed and empowered. With my background as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, I take a holistic, whole-person approach, recognizing the connection between physical and mental health. I commonly treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and stress-related challenges, with a focus on long-term stability and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive first session focused on understanding their unique concerns and goals. The session includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation, review of medical and mental health history, and discussion of previous treatments. Initial goals are set and treatment options, including medication management and supportive strategies, are explored. The session is conducted in a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, informed, and empowered to begin a personalized care plan.
