Great to meet you!

I provide therapy for adults and couples navigating ADHD, anxiety, overwhelm, emotional burnout, relationship stress, and life transitions. I have a strong passion for supporting neurodivergent clients, women, LGBTQIA+ clients, and people of color seeking a therapy space where they feel understood without needing to over-explain themselves.

My style is strengths-based, culturally aware, and emotionally attuned while still being practical and direct. I help clients identify patterns, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop tools that support real-life functioning. Not perfection.

With almost two decades of experience in counseling, I also bring extensive knowledge related to executive functioning, accommodations, workplace stress, intervention planning, and navigating systems that impact mental health and identity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, honest, and growth-oriented. I meet clients where they are emotionally and mentally, while also helping them move toward the changes, healing, and stability they want for their lives. Therapy is not about “fixing” who you are. It’s about increasing insight, developing effective tools, understanding patterns, and creating a life that feels more aligned, manageable, and authentic.

I work from a strengths-based perspective and tailor treatment to each client’s needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on your goals, therapy may focus on emotional regulation, anxiety management, executive functioning, relationships, self-concept, communication, trauma responses, or navigating life transitions.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Socratic questioning to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns. I also enjoy incorporating narrative and reflective approaches that help clients explore the stories, meanings, and internal beliefs they carry about themselves and their experiences.

I often guide clients through creative and insight-oriented exercises that support self-awareness, perspective shifts, and the development of healthier patterns. My style tends to be warm, very direct, engaging, and practical while balancing emotional depth with real-life application.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they are encouraged to talk openly about what brought them to therapy and what they hope to gain from the process. My goal is to understand not only the challenges you’re facing, but also who you are as a person including your experiences, strengths, patterns, stressors, and the context surrounding your life.

The first session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit. I believe therapy works best when clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and able to be honest without feeling rushed or judged.

My style is warm, direct, reflective, and conversational. I balance emotional insight with practical problem-solving, and I tend to work well with clients who appreciate honesty, depth, humor, self-awareness, and real-life application. I understand that healing and growth look different for everyone, so I tailor the therapeutic process to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.

Many clients who connect well with my approach are looking for ongoing support with stress, anxiety, ADHD, relationships, emotional overwhelm, identity-related pressures, life transitions, or simply having a consistent space to process and make sense of their experiences.
