Great to meet you!

I’m A. Harvest, a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience across trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, interpersonal conflict, life transitions, and veteran support.

I received my bachelor's degree in Social Work from Tuskegee University and my master's degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama. My social worker career began in 2005, immediately after graduating undergrad.

I’ve worked in hospice, medical settings, long-term care, inpatient and outpatient mental health, and community-based roles, giving me a deep understanding of how people heal at every stage of life.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what’s real. I use a trauma-informed, client-centered, and cognitive-behavioral approach that gives you concrete tools to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, understand patterns, and interrupt cycles that no longer serve you. You’ll learn how to create internal calm, recognize what triggers your emotional shifts, and make choices rooted in clarity rather than survival mode or overwhelm.

What you can expect from me

I bring warmth, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental presence to each session so you feel safe enough to explore, process, and grow. During our first session, we will discuss your background, presenting problems, mental health goals, and steps to work towards meeting those goals.
