Great to meet you!

I’m A. Harvest, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Case Manager (CCM) with 21 years of experience in social work and behavioral health. My background spans outpatient mental health, integrated primary care, medical social work, rehabilitation, hospice, telehealth, group therapy, and leadership — much of it within the Veterans Health Administration, where I've had the privilege of serving veterans, military families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

As a wife, mother, caregiver, and healthcare professional myself, I understand what it feels like to carry multiple roles while trying to show up for everyone - including yourself. I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to my work, and I believe that combination matters. You'll find me warm, authentic, and genuinely invested in your well-being. I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and never judged.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and evidence-based, meaning I draw from a range of proven methods — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based therapy, and mindfulness — and tailor them to what works best for you. No two clients are the same, and your treatment shouldn't be either.

I work collaboratively and with purpose. We'll develop practical coping skills you can use right away while also exploring the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal isn't just symptom management — it's helping you build real resilience, reconnect with your strengths, and create lasting changes that align with your values. I'm warm and compassionate, and I'll also be direct when honesty serves you best. I am culturally responsive and committed to meeting you where you are.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other and laying a foundation for our work together. I'll ask questions to understand what's brought you to therapy, what's been on your mind, and what you're hoping to experience or achieve. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to — we move at your pace.

By the end of our first session, we'll begin to identify what matters most to you and what you'd like to focus on. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, a little lighter, and with a clearer sense of direction. Above all, I want you to feel safe — because that's where real change begins.
