Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ashia, a licensed mental health professional with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals in their healing, growth, and self-understanding. I’m really glad you’re here.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to hold it all together—a place to slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with yourself in a deeper way.

I work with adults who often feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected from themselves, or caught in relational patterns that feel hard to shift. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel internally exhausted, anxious, or unsure of how to access a more grounded sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and person-centered. This means I pay close attention not just to your thoughts and stories, but to how your experiences have shaped your nervous system, emotions, and relationships. We work gently and collaboratively, honoring your pace and readiness at every step.

I use education to empower you to build skills as we go, including mindfulness-based practices to support present-moment awareness in a grounded, accessible way, helping you stay connected to yourself as we work toward change. I am also trained in EMDR, which I may use when appropriate to help process and integrate past experiences that continue to impact your present.

What you can expect from me

Clients often share that they feel deeply seen, emotionally safe, and more connected to themselves over time. My intention is to offer a grounded, attuned space where you can explore who you are without judgment and begin moving toward the life, relationships, and sense of self you want.

First session: Our first session is a gentle starting point where we begin getting to know each other and what brings you in. You set the pace—there is no expectation to share anything you’re not ready for. You’re always welcome to pause, skip questions, redirect, or opt out of anything at any time. My role is to help create a sense of safety and collaboration while we explore whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to “do therapy right”—simply showing up is enough.
