Great to meet you!

Hi there, welcome in! My name is Ashlee and I have been practicing as a counselor since I graduated from Case Western Reserve University with my Masters in Social Work in 2019. My goal as a thrapist is to be present for you, to assist you in working through any concerns you may have in a calm, understanding, non-judgemental space. I currently only work with adults and focus on assisting with depression, anxiety, trauma, individual relationship concerns, personal identity struggles in addition to other areas.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is very much client centered. These sessions are yours, I am here to support you and assist you in the ways you need. I will use my skills, knowledge and emotional support to assist you in navigating your concerns and my ultimate hope is that you experience clarity and improvement in symptoms over time.

What you can expect from me

During my first session with clients I strive to allow you to share with me what brings you to counseling. I review some housekeeping items surrounding confidentiality, session expectations and attempt to gather a holistic perspective of who you are as a person and where you have been in the past. I always tell my clients, "all your problems won't be solved in the first session" but with the information I gather we will be able to pave the way for me to be able to best help you in future sessions. Making progress in counseling isn't just about what is happening currently in your life, we must take into account what you have experienced in the past in your life to inform progress into the future.
