Great to meet you!

Maybe your brain never seems to have an “off” switch, and staying focused, organized, or on top of everyday responsibilities feels harder than it seems for everyone else. You may also be figuring out your sexuality or gender, wondering where you fit, or feeling exhausted from changing parts of yourself depending on who you’re around. As a transgender person of color, I understand how meaningful it can be to have a space where you don’t have to constantly explain, defend, or minimize who you are. I work especially with LGBTQ+ people and those with ADHD who are dealing with anxiety, stress, identity, work, school, or relationship challenges. This is a space where all of you is welcome, not just the parts that feel easiest to talk about.

My approach to therapy

I want to understand what life actually feels like for you, not simply tell you what you “should” be doing differently. We might work on quieting the mental noise that comes with ADHD, creating routines you can realistically stick to, handling anxiety before it takes over, or setting boundaries with people who don’t fully understand your identity. We’ll also explore how past experiences, relationships, and expectations from others may have shaped the way you see yourself today. Instead of trying to change who you are, we’ll figure out what works for you and build from the strengths you already have. The goal is for you to feel less overwhelmed by everyday life and more comfortable and confident being yourself.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to come in knowing exactly what to say or even exactly what you want from therapy. Maybe you’re burned out from trying to keep up at work or school, constantly overthinking, questioning your identity, struggling in relationships, or simply tired of feeling like you have to perform a different version of yourself around other people. We’ll talk about what has been weighing on you, what you wish felt different, and what would make therapy genuinely useful for you. There’s no pressure to immediately talk about your gender, sexuality, family, or anything else you’re not ready to share. My goal is for you to leave feeling like you can be yourself here and that we have a realistic direction for moving forward.
