Great to meet you!

I have a M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Community Mental Health from California State University, Fullerton and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, residential, crisis and outpatient settings. I work with adults and older teens facing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance abuse, eating disorders, identity, and phase of life issues.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered, non-judgmental, approach integrating therapy concepts based on the needs of each individual. I work from integrative, systems-based, "constructivist" approach to therapy which posits that people create their own meaning and understanding of their experiences, with my client at the center of the therapeutic process. I emphasize the relationship and collaboration between myself and my clients to reframe, and construct new empowered perspectives on their lives.

What you can expect from me

I want to empower you to make the changes you envision. I work to help people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I believe in practical and solution focused approaches to problems solving. I believe that, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it” and that all people deserve to feel heard and understood. I am invested in the unique resiliency each person has inside them and want to help you realize it as well.
