Ashleigh Dennis-Silas

Hi, I am Ashleigh, a Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 15 years of professional counseling experience. During that time, I have provided Individual, Family and Group Therapy in both the community and agency settings. I have worked with diverse populations ranging from pre-school age youth to elderly adults. I have served individuals and families with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, a broad range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. I have education in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling and Special Education. I am a caring and compassionate provider who is person centered and solution oriented. I count it as a honor and privilege to be trusted to walk alongside others through their challenging moments.

I am positive and person-centered in my approach and believe that each person is the expert of their own experience. My job to listen, reflect, support and provide insights to help you navigate your challenges. I am a partner and guide in the healing process. I believe that therapy is both head work and heart work and while this work can take time, we can identify solutions along the way to experience progress and remain motivated for the journey.

You can expect to leave sessions with me feeling heard, supported, deeply respect and cared for and that you have a partner in the work. I often give behavior homework- things to do or think about to keep progress moving between sessions. Growth, healing, change and progress all take work, but you do not have to do that work alone.
