Great to meet you!

I have a BA in Psychology from University of North Texas and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Midwestern State University. I have worked with domestic violence and C-PTSD since my first clinical experiences as a counseling student intern in 2022. I am now and LPC trained in EMDR and related therapies and use it as primary treatment for trauma-related mental health conditions.

My approach to therapy

I am passionate about psychoeducation, collaboration, creativity, and helping my clients figure out what life after trauma looks like for them! Supporting clients in leaning into their positive qualities is just as essential to me as treating what is causing pain. I am person-centered at heart and believe everyone has what they need to become their fullest selves already inside them. I see my role as an equal partner in helping clients shine a light on parts of themselves that life events may have obscured.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my first priority is laying the groundwork for a warm, safe, trauma-informed environment. Learning about the client as an individual, not just a set of symptoms, is equally important to me. I hope to learn about a client's favorite hobbies, sense of humor, special interests, anything that can bring light and laughter to the heavy trauma-work in future sessions.
