Ashley Burchell

My name is Ashley, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and Florida. I have experience working with individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan. I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been in clinical therapy work since 2017. Prior to that I was utilizing my psychology background in case management and social work support services in various settings.

While I treat a range of concerns—including anxiety, depression, and life transitions—my primary area of focus is working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, and low self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is always trauma-informed, supportive and empowering, which provides a safe space for clients to develop a healthier relationship with themselves, their bodies, and their environment. I utilize evidence based modalities to help individuals build confidence, deepen self-awareness, and regain a sense of control in their lives.

During our first few sessions, we will focus on getting to know one another, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and ensuring a good fit. I will ask thoughtful, guided questions to better understand your background, experiences, and goals, while also creating space for you to share your story at your own pace. Together, we will begin to identify priorities and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs, values, and goals moving forward.
