Great to meet you!

Life has a way of throwing challenges at us that can feel overwhelming. Sometimes these challenges make us feel frustrated, sad, disappointed, and anxious. While these obstacles and feelings are completely normal, they have a way of impacting our mental health. If you are looking for a change and are ready to start therapy, I am here to help you right where you are. Together, we will set goals and work towards tackling these challenges at your own pace. Through this process, I hope to help you learn more about yourself and find your inner strength to face whatever comes your way.

I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also a National Certified Counselor. She has experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, panic attacks, anger, ADHD, trauma, grief, life transitions, and substance use disorders.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution- Focused Therapy.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to each individual's experiences, strengths, and personal goals. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, develop effective coping skills, improve relationships, and foster resilience so clients can create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach and determine whether we're a good fit.

Together, we'll begin identifying your strengths, discussing any challenges you're facing, and exploring goals for therapy. While the first session is primarily focused on understanding your experiences, we'll also start identifying practical strategies or coping skills you can begin using right away.
