Great to meet you!

Dr. Ashley E. Coleman is a licensed clinical psychologist who understands the importance of forming a collaborative therapeutic alliance and creating a safe space for clients to engage in self-discovery and optimize their well-being. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Howard University, a Master of Arts in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Coleman provides evidenced-based treatment for individual clients navigating life transitions, presenting with anxiety and depression, and couples experiencing relational concerns. Additionally, she works with athletes and “high-performers” across industries to establish work/life harmony, to prevent burnout, and to improve their relationships with themselves while maintaining excellent performance.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Coleman blends empathy, humor, and compassionate exploration to facilitate clients’ discovery of long-standing beliefs that are producing unpleasant feelings and maintaining undesirable behaviors. In addition to providing psychotherapy, Dr. Coleman is a tenured professor and an author in the areas of sports psychology, women and spirituality, and stress and coping.
