Great to meet you!

I work with adults who may feel stuck in patterns that are affecting their relationships, recovery, self-esteem, or overall quality of life. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing co-occurring substance use and eating disorders, as well as mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder (BPD).

Many of the people I work with have spent years using unhealthy behaviors to cope with difficult emotions, trauma, perfectionism, or painful beliefs about themselves. You may understand intellectually that something needs to change but feel unsure how to actually break those patterns. My goal is to help you understand where these patterns come from, develop healthier ways of coping, and begin creating a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.

In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, live music, thrifting, cuddling my animals, reading, and outdoor activities.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, validating, and trauma-informed, but I am also direct when it is helpful. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be completely yourself without fear of judgment, while also being a place where you can be challenged to question the thoughts and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck.

I draw heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. I also incorporate 12-step principles when they are appropriate and meaningful to the individual, while respecting and encouraging other approaches to recovery. I believe there is no single path to recovery, and treatment should be individualized to your needs, values, and goals.

I also offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for appropriate individuals. My work often focuses on helping clients develop emotional regulation skills, improve their relationship with themselves and others, challenge perfectionistic or rigid thinking, establish healthier boundaries, and move away from coping strategies that may have helped them survive but are no longer serving them.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you have spent a long time feeling misunderstood, judged, or like you should be able to figure things out on your own. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy, and you do not have to be at your worst to deserve support.

I strive to create a space where you can show up as your authentic self and feel genuinely heard and understood. I will meet you where you are while helping you identify what is keeping you stuck and work toward meaningful, sustainable change. If you are ready to better understand yourself, develop healthier patterns, and build a life that feels more fulfilling, I would be honored to work with you.
