Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Ashley Hardy, a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in the Cleveland area. My path to private practice was shaped by years of hands-on experience in community mental health and mobile crisis response. Working on the front lines taught me how to show up for people during their most complex, intense, and vulnerable life challenges. Because of that background, I bring a steady, deeply compassionate, and entirely non-judgmental presence to our sessions—whatever you are carrying, we can unpack it together.

I hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Cleveland State University, and I am dedicated to providing therapy that honors your unique, lived experience.

My approach to therapy

Therapy works best when it is a true partnership. My approach is entirely client-centered and collaborative because I firmly believe that you are the expert on your own life. Think of it this way: you are driving the bus, and I’m in the passenger seat holding the map. Together, we navigate the terrain, but you are always the one in control of the wheel.

To support your journey, I utilize an integrative framework that blends cognitive tools with somatic (body-based) therapies, allowing us to process your experiences on a deeper level. But we won't just stop at insight. Our focus will always extend to the practical, bridging the breakthroughs we make in session into your day-to-day life, empowering you to make lasting, tangible improvements that stick.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can bring up a lot of nerves, but my goal is for our time together to feel meaningful, productive, and truly enjoyable. When you log in, you are entering a secure, identity-affirming space designed for you to show up exactly as you are.

My goal is to provide therapy that is designed to actually get you to your goals. From our very first hour, we will begin identifying what tangible healing and progress look like for you. This is a space where you can safely drop the filter, let go of long-held shame, and unpack your baggage all while actively building the bridge to the real-world changes you want to see. I recognize the unique systemic challenges you face, and I know I am doing my job if you leave our sessions feeling deeply understood, empowered, and clear on your path forward.
