Great to meet you!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe mental health care should feel collaborative, supportive, and personalized, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 15 years across inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, substance use treatment, and geriatric mental health settings, which has given me experience caring for individuals through many different stages of life and emotional challenges.

My approach focuses on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms. I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while we work together to create realistic and individualized treatment goals. Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping skills, lifestyle factors, and a focus on overall wellness.

I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, burnout, sleep difficulties, and life transitions. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and more connected to themselves again.

My approach to therapy

I approach mental health care by paying attention to the patterns beneath the symptoms. Often people come into treatment feeling exhausted from “holding it together” for everyone else, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in survival mode for so long that they no longer recognize what feeling well actually looks like.

My role is not just to prescribe medication, but to help clients better understand themselves while creating a treatment plan that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable. I value honest conversations, meaningful progress, and creating an environment where people do not feel judged for where they are mentally or emotionally.

I tend to work best with clients who want a provider that feels approachable, thoughtful, and collaborative. Someone who will listen carefully, look at the bigger picture, and help them work toward feeling more stable, present, and like themselves again.

What you can expect from me

The first appointment is designed to be a place where you can finally exhale. Many people come into psychiatric care worried they will feel rushed, overly analyzed, or immediately pushed toward medication. I take a different approach.

Our first session is about understanding how your life has been feeling lately- mentally, emotionally, physically, and even socially. We will talk through patterns you have noticed, stressors that may be contributing to symptoms, how you typically cope, and what you feel is realistically missing from your current quality of life.

I also think it is important to understand the person outside of the symptoms. Such as relationships, burnout, sleep, routines, grief, physical health, personality, and even the way you handle stress all matter in creating a treatment plan that actually fits your life.

By the end of the visit, clients typically leave with a clearer understanding of possible treatment options, goals moving forward, and a plan created together rather than simply being told what to do. Appointments are available through telehealth anywhere in Florida or in person at my Palm Harbor office.
