My approach to therapy

In today's fast-paced world, where time is limited, you want to know that you are investing your time well. That means working with someone who is empathic, adaptable, and competent. As a Clinical Psychologist, I have worked with a variety of clientele in the treatment of PTSD and other Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, sleep concerns, and more. I use empirically supported treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and DBT-informed treatment. I work with my clients to find a treatment that works with their goals, learning style, and time commitments.

What you can expect from me

I know that it can be very difficult to take the first steps to come to therapy. There are a million reasons to put it off, stuff it away, or just avoid that uncomfortable feeling altogether; so I commend you for still choosing to go on this journey. On this journey, which is sure to have some ups and downs, it is important to have someone in your corner. I make it a point to create a space where clients feel like they can finally take a deep breath and listen to their voice. My clients can expect that I will provide various tools/skills, encourage them to keep moving towards their goals, and an occasional laugh or two.
