Ashley Johnson

My name is Ashley Johnson. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor out of Houston Texas. I completed my undergrad degree at Stephen F Austin State in child and family development in 2008 and masters in in counseling in 2014. I’ve been working in this field for about 17 years now in both social work and counseling. My hobbies include running, gardening, and baking. I have a four-year-old son, one year old daughter and husband. I emphasize self-care and balance (libra mode) in life. I believe in being mindful in the moment and engaging in self-care practices. I hope to learn more about you and share your stories and testimonies that can be beneficial to you.

I commend you for acknowledging your pain and seeking out ways to help yourself. I provide individual therapy to young adults, adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, and struggles within interpersonal relationships. My approach is first acknowledging where you are in your healing journey. I take into account the impact of trauma and how the systems we are in influence our emotional experiences.

As trust is built within the therapeutic relationship, vulnerability resides. With collaborative effort, clients will discover the next steps towards healing and growth.
