Ashley Jones

Hello, I’m Ashley. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my aim is to help adolescents and adults develop the skills to address and navigate the messy and painful parts of their lives. I spent several years teaching middle and high school students, seeing first-hand the effects of toxic stress, pain, loneliness, hurt, disappointment, and trauma on the lives of teenagers and adults. This prompted me to go back to school, earning my Master of Science in Counseling. I began my career as a therapist working at a residential program for survivors of sex-trafficking to provide a safe place for clients to heal and recover from a life of exploitation and early childhood trauma. I have since become fully licensed to provide therapeutic services in both California (LPCC) and Arizona (LPC).

I work from a trauma-informed perspective which recognizes that we all have experienced distressing life events that have shaped the way we think about ourselves and the world around us. Trained in EMDR therapy, one of the leading therapies for trauma work, I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Theory to provide education and useful tools for working through the suffering and pain that often bring us to therapy.

Along the journey, I hope to bring warmth and safety, education and tools, and time and space for you to work through your healing. It takes courage to face the path towards healing, often requiring us to go back before we can go forward. It is a path worth taking and you don’t have to do it alone.
