Great to meet you!

Hi! I am excited to meet and work with you and/or your family through difficult times or to learn coping skills that can be used in many situations. I have 3 1/2 years of experience in counseling with a diverse population starting at ages 15+. I have my Master's of Science in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Trauma and then obtained a post-graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Grand Canyon University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and in the process of learning Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I focus on more than just the singular problem that you come to me with as there could be other influencing factors that are contributing.

What you can expect from our first session

The outcome of therapy depends on how hard you are willing to put in the effort and work for yourself. Healing is not a linear process as sometimes you will dip and then come back with a good amount of progress. I do have a structured process to how sessions will go as it is not just talking about something new each session as there are objectives to be worked on, but if needing a vent session that is also no problem.
