Great to meet you!

I am human like you. While our stories and the details of our experiences may differ, there is a common thread in our humanity, and I believe a shared link in our spirits.

We walk parallel paths, feeling many of the same feelings, fears, hopes, losses, stressors, and vulnerabilities.

We all want to be happy, safe, whole and loved. And we all experience trauma that gets in our way. It is part of our human experience, and I believe it is how we grow, evolve, and expand in our capacity to love. I believe this is why we are here.

I have walked my own healing path to get here and continue to walk it as I support others. I believe this is essential for me to be grounded, clear, humble, and open-hearted.

I have immense respect for people wanting to do their work, as I know the courage it takes to show up, own your stuff, feel your feelings, be in your body, face your fears, and tolerate the discomfort of presence and change.

Training/Credentials:

MSW (Master’s in Social Work), University of Montana 2010

Licensed LICSW in the state of Washington

Ordained Minister, People of the Heart

Training in the Braided Way and Andean Mesa Shamanic traditions

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

My clinical background and experience includes a broad range of roles and settings, including child and family based services, residential care, wilderness therapy, addictions, program development and supervision, crisis management, and training and education.

In private practice since 2018, my passion is helping people heal from complex trauma and grief, integrating these experiences through a holistic lens that bridges the gap between the worlds of mental health and spirituality/energy work.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a trauma-informed mindfulness based approach to help you connect with your inner strength and resiliency. I’ll help you build a different relationship with your body, beliefs, and emotions so you can be more present in your experience. I integrate shamanic healing and holistic modalities to support the counseling process.

I specialize in working with challenges related to complex trauma, attachment, codependency, anxiety, depression, and grief, as well as navigating the world as a highly sensitive person/empath. I also see all of these “issues” as an inextricable part of being human.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to feel safe, seen, supported, and genuinely accepted and cared for. In sessions, I provide the support and the structure for you to open, explore, and feel all the feelings. It is where you get clear on what you want and need, and what you want and need to be different.

We collaborate to figure out the how, the strategies, practices, skills, and tricks to move you closer to your vision. We move at your pace so your nervous system doesn’t get overwhelmed.

While we will individualize our work according to your needs, common goals include:

~Cultivating awareness and understanding of conditioned patterns and what gets in the way of you being your true self.

~Building a different relationship with your body, beliefs, and emotions so you can be more present in your experience.

~Developing practical tools and strategies to soothe your nervous system and empower you in your growth process.

~Exploring dynamics in relationships so you can move toward feeling secure, whole, and healthy in your attachments.
