Great to meet you!

Welcome! I specialize in working with adults who have discovered that ADHD, Autism, and/or additional experiences of neurodiversity now help to explain the years of challenges they’ve faced, and are wanting to build compassion and skills that work with (rather than against) their neurotype. Similarly, adults wondering if they may be neurodivergent and are wanting to explore this in an affirming therapy space. Many of the clients I work with in therapy are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, university students navigating burnout and life transitions, and clients who are interested in addressing their relationship to substance use such as understanding the role that neuro-complexity may play in their substance use.

I'm a queer neurodivergent therapist with lived experience around disability, trauma, and being a first-generation college student. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed therapeutic approach, whether I am helping my clients to heal from shame rooted in systemic oppression or generational trauma, to helping them develop compassion for all parts of themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strengths-based and non-pathologizing, and affirming of your intersecting cultural identities and neurotype. I bring warmth and humor to foster a relational space for authenticity, growth, & healing for my clients. Therapy is tailored to your needs and the pace you set, and I believe that each client I sit with is the expert of their own unique lived experiences. I often draw from Mindfulness (DBT & ACT), Social Justice frameworks, IFS parts-work, and Narrative Therapy. I am also trained in EMDR, which can be a helpful modality and approach to therapy for post-traumatic healing, accessing physiological relief from past or recent distress, helping to let go of old narratives such as "I am not enough," and other benefits to EMDR therapy. In addition, I am passionate about helping my clients to feel empowered with psychoeducation about topics such as trauma and neurodivergence, and practical coping strategies and resources when helpful that can assist with symptom relief, executive functioning, sleep issues, and building meaningful connections with others in their lives.
