I am licensed professional counselor with a background working in outpatient, residential, home and school settings. I have been practicing for 8 years. I work with kids as young as 7 and with adults. My main focus is mood disorders and working with LGBTQ+ kids and adults.
Everyone is on their own journey. While I have training and tools that I use, you are the expert of you and an individual. I will work with you on your goals and provide tools that will help you along the journey and walk with you to where you want to go.
I like to start the first session after an intake with an activity as I feel it helps facilitate conversation and process feelings around starting therapy. The goal is to help you feel comfortable expressing yourself. Following sessions will be focused on your goals for treatment.
