Great to meet you!

My name is Ashley, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and North Carolina.

I have experience working with diverse populations in primary care settings, including those from disadvantage backgrounds, to enhance their quality of life. I've also had the privilege of supporting adults living with HIV.

Additionally, I bring three years of experience providing trauma-informed care to indigent clients within the criminal legal system.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a client-centered framework, where I prioritize creating a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental space. I integrate trauma-informed care to acknowledge and address past experiences, while using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help challenge and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. Together, we will work towards healing, resilience, and personal growth.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can take away increased self-awareness, practical coping strategies, and a deeper understanding of how past experiences shape their present thoughts and behaviors. They'll gain tools to challenge negative thought patterns, build emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways to navigate life's challenges, with empowerment and confidence.
