Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with experience providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan since 2015. I specialize in both family medicine and mental health, and I am committed to delivering holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being. I earned my Doctoral degree with the highest level of honor from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am also board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I bring a unique blend of expertise in managing chronic medical conditions, mental health disorders, and social dynamics, using evidence-based practices to guide treatment.

My approach to therapy

I have a strong passion for supporting patients through medical and psychological challenges, and I collaborate with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans. Whether I am addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or physical health concerns, I strive to empower patients to achieve optimal health outcomes. Outside of clinical practice, I am dedicated to ongoing professional development and advancing the field of nurse practitioner care through education and advocacy.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will have a supportive and judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your concerns, symptoms, and what led you to seek care. I will ask about your mental health history, medical history, past treatments, and how you have responded to medications or therapy in the past so I can better understand your diagnosis and overall prognosis. We will also discuss your personal goals, whether that is reducing specific symptoms, improving daily functioning, or enhancing overall wellbeing. Together, we will begin building a collaborative treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, or coordination with other providers. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of possible next steps and a plan for follow-up care as we work toward your long-term goals.
