Great to meet you!
If you're used to being the one who "holds it all together," it can be difficult to recognize when you need care, too. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, struggling with health issues, low self-esteem, or simply sensing that the way they've been navigating life is no longer working for them.
As a therapist with over 10+ years of experience, I truly believe that our mental and emotional health is the foundation for overall well-being. My approach to therapy blends traditional psychotherapy practices such as ACT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing with integrative methods like mindfulness, EFT, and somatic-informed practices. For clients living with chronic pain, I utilize Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), a therapeutic technique that helps retrain the brain to interpret and respond to bodily signals more accurately, which can help reduce the intensity of symptoms and disrupt the cycle of chronic pain. I have also completed coursework through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which reflects my ongoing passion to support clients through a more holistic lens.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including community-based health clinics, behavioral healthcare settings, psychiatric emergency services, and private practice, supporting adults through a wide range of stressors and life transitions. My personal and professional experiences have gifted me the unique, firsthand experience and a deep respect for the mind-body connection, which has completely shaped my life as well as my practice as a therapist.
