I have been working as a behavioral health clinician for 16 years in a variety of settings. I started out as an emergency services clinician for 5 years before moving into outreach services through insurance companies. For the past 2 years, I have worked as a school psychologist. I am trained as a licensed therapist and clinical psychologist.
I will try to allow you to lead the therapy sessions. This is a time dedicated to you and should be used in a way that feels beneficial to you. I will help guide you through the things on which you want to focus.
Depending on your specific needs, you can expect to learn different coping strategies to help you through difficult emotions and situations. There is an expectation to practice these at times when things are going well so that they will be easily accessible to you when you are feeling distressed.
