Great to meet you!

I have a B.S. in Education (Integrated Language Arts) from Kent State University, and a Master’s of Arts in Education (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Malone University. Prior to becoming a clinician, I was a public high school teacher and a coach for a decade. My young kids and partner occupy most of my free time, along with watching and playing sports, hiking, reading, and walking my schnoodles: Nala and Nymeria.

My approach to therapy

Sleep, nutrition, positive self talk, and movement are the foundation to wellness, and the basis for stable mental health. I begin with a person-centered approach, then draw from a range of theoretical techniques, including internal family systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and even elements of Buddhism. As a member of Counselors for Social Justice, I also consider environmental factors that marginalized populations face. I work primarily with adults on a variety of concerns like anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, relationship issues, career exploration, and more. I offer telehealth sessions by video or phone call.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will get to know each other and you will share your primary reason for coming to counseling. We will then discuss your personal goals.
