I’m the kind of clinician who looks at the full picture, including both internal and external factors, to better understand what you’re experiencing and what may be contributing to it. I take a trauma informed approach and believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and personalized to your needs. I value the connection between the mind and body and incorporate somatic work and EMDR techniques into my practice. My goal is to help clients build insight, process experiences, and feel more grounded and empowered in their everyday lives.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and conversational, with sessions that feel natural and comfortable while still focused on meaningful progress. I meet clients where they are and work together to set goals that feel realistic and personal to them. I have training in many different modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, and IPT), which allows me to draw from different approaches and tailor treatment to what fits best in the moment. I also use a trauma informed lens and incorporate somatic work and EMDR techniques when helpful. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and actively involved in your own growth.
In the first session, you can expect a real, grounded conversation where we take things at your pace. I’ve been in spaces where starting something new feels both hopeful and nerve wracking, so I really get what that first step can feel like. We’ll talk through what’s been going on for you and what you’re hoping will change, without any pressure to have it all figured out. My goal is for you to leave feeling a little more understood, a little lighter, and with some hope that things can actually shift.
