Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Ashley! I’m Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating a variety of concerns.

My clinical work includes helping clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, family conflict, self-esteem concerns, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges. I also work with parents who are seeking guidance in supporting their child’s emotional and behavioral needs.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered while building practical tools they can use in everyday life. Whether you are seeking support for a current challenge or looking to better understand yourself, I strive to create a space where growth feels possible and sustainable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I understand that no two people have the same experiences, so treatment should reflect your unique goals, strengths, and challenges. Together, we will identify patterns, build insight, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. With children and adolescents, I may incorporate developmentally appropriate strategies such as skill-building, emotional education, and play-based interventions when helpful.

I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to support and guide you while helping you build confidence, resilience, and healthier coping skills. Whether you are working through anxiety, relationship stress, family concerns, trauma, or life transitions, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where healing and growth can occur.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where we begin getting to know one another. The first session is an opportunity for me to learn more about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you would like to work toward.

We will discuss any symptoms, stressors, relationships, or life experiences that may be impacting your well-being, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are never expected to share more than you are ready to share.

Clients can also expect time to ask questions about the therapy process, discuss what has or has not helped in the past, and talk about what you hope to gain from treatment. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying priorities and creating a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and personalized to your needs.
